Greetings to all this Holiday season, I hope everyone is having a great start to this busy season. I would like to take this time to say a big THANK YOU to all the board members of the Master Association Board of Gulf Harbour. Also, THANK YOU to all the support from the residents of Gulf Harbour. Being on a board can be a thankless job, but I would like to say it’s nice to see what a difference one person can make.
At our October meeting, Lonnie presented a great outlook of what the island can be again, with some support from the residents and Master Association. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful island, for walking or just watching the sunset. The Master Board felt it was in the best interest of the residents to help with this project. All board members voted in favor of giving Gulf Harbour $60,000 to get the island off to a good
start of recovery. We believe this is an important amenity of Gulf Harbour.
The Master Board is also working with security on a couple of items which have been discussed at our meetings. First is the problem with trespassers fishing in the lakes on the golf course. The young men have approached golfers with aggressive behaviors. As of now our first approach to help with this is to hire off duty police that can arrest them. The officer will be on site 3 hours a day. With rotating locations, secondly, we have installed new cameras and new lighting detection at both gates.
