Many thanks to the 79 kind souls who came by our home last Saturday between 8 and 10 a.m. to pack up a record 1,200 boxes! With extra help from four soccer players and Linda’s daughter and grands, many hands made for light work. Lots of smiles and feel-good moments sprinkled among the throng.
A laudable cause and some lucky, smiling children will be happy when they get these gifts of love from a caring community.
Some folks are tracking their individual boxes that they packed separately from the event. When we know where they ended up, we will send out another email. We turned in a total of 1,365 shoeboxes (weighing a collective 4,000 pounds) to the collection church yesterday, as there was a big side support in addition to the Saturday party.
